Prayer Focus
I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come
form? My help comes form the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip - he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun
will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you form all harm - he will watch over your life; the Lord
will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
Psalms 121
Pray:
►For opportunities to witness to
our faith.
►Show us ways to honor our mothers.
►For new graduates.
►The Holy Spirit will continue to
guide our congregation.
We have two types of worship service at
Spokane Valley Church.
Both are open
and welcome visitors and those seeking and asking questions about
their faith.
9:00am Traditional Service
For those who are looking for a traditional style of service with hymns from the
hymnal, organ, choir, formal prayer, and a message in a traditional sanctuary.
This service occasionally throws in special surprises such as dance, drama, and
multimedia and also sings some contemporary music. We serve
communion on the first Sunday of each month. The tradition of the United
Methodist church is that communion is open to all who wish to receive it.
11:00 Sunday Celebration
You never know what could happen in this service. Every Sunday can have a
different order, movie clips, dance, drama, humor, prayer, message,
interviews... anyway we can come up with to enhance the message of the day we
will incorporate into Sunday Celebration. The music is much more
upbeat and contemporary. Sometimes we have a full band, other times a
keyboard, and often have special instrumentalist with us. A worship team
of 8 people lead this service and help create it every week. The
celebration takes place in our Fellowship Center where we have a much more
informal atmosphere and more of a theater type setting. Communion is
served during this celebration deemed appropriate by the topic of the day.
